Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
